Cindy Espinoza is the creative force behind the Zafiro collection. She discovered her passion for jewelry while traveling the world. Never big on buying suveniours on her trips, she would buy jewelry that evoked emotion. After stumbling upon a boutique selling a gemstone collection, she began creating her own designs.
Cindy’s love of international travel, foreign cultures, and all things exotic led her to create Zafiro in 2009. Influenced by the ethnic and antique styles of India and Mexico, she transfers this inspiration to her jewelry.
The Zafiro customer is sophisticated and glamourous with a dramatic edge. She has an adventurous spirit and is not afraid to stand out from the crowd. A dreamer who appreciates the nostalgia and style of the past while passionately anticipating the thrill of tomorrow, she is personified in the Zafiro collection.

Zafiro Jewelry is handmade using 14k gold-filled and sterling silver wire, chain and findings. 14k gold filled is made by bonding layers of 14k gold to a supporting metal, usually sterling silver. Gold-filled jewelry wears and resembles solid gold. It will not tarnish, crack, chip or peel. And with proper care, it will last a lifetime.
Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. It will tarnish naturally and requires occasional cleaning. We recommend a non-abrasive silver polish or rub with a soft cotton cloth. All of our precious and semi-precious stones are hand picked for cut and clarity. Due to the handmade nature of the beads and their designs, variations in color and bead shape may occur. When cleaning gemstones, immerse them in warm, soapy water then rinse and lay out to dry on a soft cloth.
As each piece is hand-crafted, many of our earrings and necklaces are delicate or may tangle easily. Please handle the jewelry with care by storing neatly and keeping away from perfume, hair styling products or body lotions. Some metals and gemstones may oxidize or change color as exposed to air. It is recommended to keep jewelry in an air-tight bag with an anti-tarnish cloth.

Payment
When you place your order, you will have the option of paying with any major credit card or via Paypal. Zafiro utilizes the services of PayPal to process all transactions, but it is not necessary to have a PayPal account to shop with us. After you place your order, you will receive an email from "zafiro jewelry" confirming your order. We process orders as quickly as possible.
Gifts
Please contact info_zafirojewelry.com. All gift certificates expire 6mo from date of issue.
If the item you are ordering is a gift, please let us know and we can include a gift message with your purchase. Orders identified as "gift" will be sent without a packing slip so the recipient will not see the cost of the item being sent.
All Jewelry pieces are nicely wrapped before shipping.
Shipping
All jewelry is handmade, and not all pieces are ready to order. In such cases, please allow up to two weeks for delivery.
Standard shipping is USPS priority (2-3 day) for the shipping & handling cost of $8. All packages are insured. If you require a rush order, we can ship via FedEx for the shipping & handling cost of $20. Georgia sales tax (8%) will also be added to orders being shipped to addresses in Georgia.

No Sales Tax
Only orders placed within the state of Georgia will be charged sales tax.
Return Policy
We want you to love what you purchase from Zafiro. However, if for some reason you are not completely satisfied with any item you have purchased from us, we will happily refund your money. Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt and shipped to us in the original packaging, along with your packing slip. Please contact us for instructions on where to ship your return. All items must be returned in their original, unworn condition. Please ship your items via insured mail. You are responsible for your own shipping charges on returns unless you were sent the wrong item, in which we will refund the cost of your return shipping. After we receive your item, we will promptly credit you for the amount of the item. Should you wish to exchange an item, you will need to first return the unwanted item and then place a new order for the new item.
We make every effort to provide the most accurate descriptions and photos of each of our products. However, not all colors appear the same on all monitors. Due to the nature of materials used, there will always be slight variations in color, shape and size of the natural stones we utilize.
Out of Stock Items
We strive to only show available products online. In the unlikely event the item you have ordered is out of stock, we will notify you right away and let you know if we are able to custom create a similar item for you.
Custom Orders & Matching Sets
We love custom orders! If there is something special you have in mind that you dont see on our website, or if a piece that you are interested in does not come in a matching set (ie. a bracelet or earrings to go with a matching necklace), please contact us and we may be able to make it for you.
Repairs
In the unlikely event your piece breaks, Zafiro will repair it free of charge (less shipping costs) within three months of date of purchase. After that time, we will perform repairs for a fee. Please contact us first to discuss the nature of the repair required.
